Terms of service
Last updated: 08.10.2026
1. Scope
These terms apply to the use of the Shopify app AI Mail ("the app") by merchants. The provider is named in the legal notice.
2. Service
The app imports customer e-mails from the mailbox you connect, matches them with your Shopify orders and prepares reply drafts with the help of artificial intelligence. Drafts are suggestions. The app never sends an e-mail and never executes a refund on its own – every action requires your explicit confirmation.
3. Your responsibility
You review every draft before sending it and remain responsible for the content of your messages, your shop policies and the actions you confirm (for example refunds). AI-generated text can be incomplete or wrong.
4. Plans and billing
Paid plans are billed through Shopify on your Shopify invoice. Prices, included tickets and the free trial are shown in the app and in the Shopify App Store. You can change or cancel your plan at any time in the app. A ticket is a customer conversation for which the AI prepared a draft in a calendar month. When the monthly limit is reached, AI drafts pause until the next month or until you upgrade; reading and sending e-mails continues to work.
5. Availability
We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance and third-party outages (Shopify, your e-mail provider, the AI provider) can cause interruptions.
6. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence. For slight negligence we are only liable for breaches of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.
7. Termination and data
You can uninstall the app at any time. Mailbox passwords are deleted immediately on uninstall; all other shop data is deleted automatically 48 hours later when Shopify sends the shop deletion request.
8. Final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, unless mandatory consumer protection rules provide otherwise.
